How hypnosis builds self confidence
While computers permit us to connect instantly with anyone across the globe, the decrease of face to face interaction is having an adverse effect in our society. In my hypnosis clinic this is all too evident as I see large numbers of socially isolated clients.
As we communicate less in actual face to face social interactions we start to lose some of our most valuable communication skills and, when it comes to younger people, are probably not accumulating the skills to begin with. Programmes like Skype and Facetime help as we can get some of the visual cues but it is simply not the same as being there with the person.
How will this lack of social skills affect us now and in the longer term? The lack of social skills can cause real difficulties for people, for instance when meeting new people or being in large social groups, as they just tend not to genuinely feel up to the task.
We can’t lay all the blame on technological innovation but these new demands are making the issue far worse and it is not going to get any better.
The great majority of hypnotherapy clients I see want extra self confidence in conditions where they may become the main attraction. Clients tend to be worried that they may look silly and embarrass themselves when in front of people and be judged in a negative way. Generally, their answer is to stay away from the spotlight and thereby ensure that they do not become the centre of attention.
Hypnotherapy is very effective at solving this kind of situation. Making use of hypnotherapy tactics to give someone confidence will not totally resolve the issue long term. It does not really solve the problem. The root of the problem has to be dealt with before a long term solution may be accomplished recherche viagra.
In many cases the problem lies with earlier events in our life, like being bullied or ridiculed at school. By dealing with these past events we could prepare the client for a powerful change in the way they feel. When these past incidents have been dealt with, we have a firm base on which to generate new levels of self confidence. Then we can go to the next stage of the therapy.
There are certainly limits to what a hypnotist is able to do.
Along with making a client feel more self-assured, we have to get the client to start generating social contacts and having more physical communication and interaction with people. So we help the customer to start establishing new social groups and to really feel self-assured when they are in them. It may be something as simple as chatting to people in their weight watchers class, a work out group, bingo night or lodge meeting. The client just needs to be ready to chat and communicate with the other men and women there.
The hypnotherapist would be helping the client remain constructive and confident throughout. This enables them to steadily build their confidence on the solid footings that we have already prepared. By doing this the client builds the permanent transformation that they came to see the hypnotherapist for.
